I'm living dangerous today, I packed 2 sausages and some veggies for lunch and for the evening at work. I usually just make chicken breast with veggies but even that gets tiring everyday. I cut out the rice, I'm tryna loose some pounds, so no carbs for a few weeks or so. Been changing up on my exercise too, added more cardio and been doing alot more legs than any. I've been noticing alot of changes by doing this for 2weeks now. Starting to get more cut and the bulk is leaning down, which is what I want.
This is what i usually make to eat, mainly chicken but I switch to beef from time to time just so i won't get bored of eatting the same old thing.
I also make different drinks when I'm thirsty, shown here is peanut butter, banana smoothie. I don't like to take protein powder, just want to keep everything natural, no artificial enhancements. There's other ones I make too, Berry smoothies, strawberry banana, mango, the list goes on.

Career Change
So talking to one of my good friends, I decided to steer into a new direction. Its not so much that she talked me into it, because I have a strong mind and I don't just give in so easily, it's just she made some really good points. Advices that I have already known and that made alot of sense. For the longest, I've always was interested in two things as a career, in media arts and a fire fighter. I know both are 2 completely different paths but that's just another side of me, the adventure side. I still love art and think that I might still be doing it but just not as the main career. I like those action, hero type movies and being a fire fighter, you are a hero. There's more other jobs that makes others heroes too, but fire fighters are more of the physical type. Running into a burning building, breaking car doors, fighting fires, help the sick and injured people, because we do get there before the ambulance.
I'm feeling real excited right now, I've just finished registering for the orientation and for the CPAT testing (Candidate Physical Ability Test). I believe I have the build and strength they require already so hopefully I will past the testing. It did cost me $200 to take this test. $25 each for the practice I scheduled 2 practices, and $150 for the final testing. If I past that, then I will go on to the academy where I will be training. I have to also past the academy too, to be an official fire fighter. I've hear people tell me about their experiences and that it is very competitive and many people had failed. That is sad to hear and kind of a let down but hopefully my faith will take me through it all, if not then at least I gained an experience.

Starbucks Frappuccino Contest
Haven't been on here in awhile so thought I make an up date. So I found out of a contest Starbucks is having of Deviant Art and thought I test my creativity. The theme of the the contest is "Happiness in A Cup." So you have to design all that makes you happy in a cup. The Template they provide you with is just an outline of the cup and the Starbucks Logo and you design the rest. It would be great to win considering they are offering many prizes for the winner and runner ups. But if not its still a great experience for me to use my creativity.
Believe it or not the hardest part of the process of creating art is getting ideas together, brainstorming on how to design each piece together and harmonizing it. So here's my entries:
1st Entry
Personally I like the 2nd one better, made more contrast to the background and added another gradient layer in the back of the cup. You choose :)

05.22.11 - Disney's Tangled
So...I never got to watch Tangled before even though it came out a long while ago. But I did finally got the chance to watch it. I like this movie, as of many Disney movies, they never disappoint us. To me, the moral behind this is even though you get caught up with everyday life(stuck in the tower), never give up on your dream(adventure to see the floating lights). Because that dream can be your destiny calling and if not, you can always make a new dream.
What made me think more into the movie the most was when Rapunzel started remembering herself as a baby, seeing the sun symbol, realizing the sun was hidden in all of her murals in the tower representing her repressed memory. I believe in life everyone have their destination, every aspect of your life is already written...for example, on this date you hurt yourself, this date you meet your first love, this date you found your ideal job, this date you got into some sort of accident that changed your life so you can get back on track to your destination, and the list goes on. To put that in the story, Rapunzel always knew that there's something about the floating lights that is connected to her somehow but never went through with it to find out what it was. So when Flyn came along, he was her fate/strength to go on the journey for her dream. Flyn later on reveals his dream which was to be with Rapunzel and its obvious because he cuts away her hair to protect her in the end even though he knew it would be his death. Obstacles were thrown at them both to overcome and it did seem like they didn't make it when Rapunzel was brought back to the tower and decided to get back to her normal life in the tower, AGAIN. But fate tapped into her memory and made her remember the sun symbol it was then she realized to get back to her dream/destiny. Both the characters was each other's guide, fate brought them together to fulfill their needs. Flyn helped Rapunzel to be more strong-minded/determined to reach her dream and she helped Flyn to have a meaning in life/a dream, other than being a thief. In the end they changed each others lives and found their destiny, their fate...which is together, in the right place. Overall GREAT movie!

05.10.11 - Spudneck
I've always wanted a Siberian Husky for a dog, mainly because those breeds look more like wolves than any. and because of their blue eyes and bright coat. BUT i decided to play around a bit :). I'm still thinking of a perfect background for Spudneck, yes that is what I'm calling him :D
Abstract Background
Spudneck is in a world of his own :)

About Me...
During my studies in college, I've learned more about myself than I took into thought all by taking a test from a book. This was one of the test I took in my Career Strategies class to get me ready for the business world. Lets you know your strengths and weakness so you know what you can improve on. Before you know the personality type you are, you are given many questions to answer to get the results. These results explains so much that it's better if you here it from that. :D
Book is called "RHETI Personality Test Summary"
Type 9: The Peacemaker
In taking the RHETI test, this book has confirmed the person that I have understood myself to be as well as and many more in my personality that I did not consider. The type 9 category has been divided into three sub-categories which is the Healthy 9’s, Average 9’s, and the Low 9’s. Overall, I scored 25, which translates into a healthy 9.
Type 9
Healthy 9’s are people who are deeply receptive and accepting of other’s individuality, they believe in the greatness of people and the environment, both emotionally and spiritually. Healthy 9’s are what you can call, “the dreamer,” imaginative, creative, and more attuned to nonverbal communication. 9’s are very optimistic, they reassure others with support, loyalty, as well as calming influence.
They heal others by being accepting, understanding, affectionate, and harmonizing in which they bring people together. They are great mediators, communicating with people to help them have a better understanding, are highly genuine and nice people, although in some situations people take their criticism and actions negatively, 9’s intentionally mean it in the most positive way.
They are not self-taught; their main influences to help them mature in this manner requires both parents to be present in their lives whom they learn morals and values from. This is rare to be this healthy for 9’s. No matter how difficult it is at times, they remain patient and calm because, “what’s the point of stress if it doesn’t solve the problem?” Healthy 9’s are one with themselves, the environment, both peaceful and calm. Their view of the world is through the innocent eyes of a child and with the wisdom of a mature adult. Believing the best in all things, 9’s are non-judgmental, even during difficult situations, they still try to keep positive thoughts in their minds.
They practice the thoughts of “Everything will work out for the best” or “Everything happens for a reason.” This positive outlook on life attracts many people causing most of them to feel themselves and comfortable around 9’s. 9’s tends to sacrifice themselves in order to help others because helping others gives them a feeling of righteousness and peace. At their worst, 9’s are quick tempered but most people won’t see this because they keep their feelings repressed. Their way of dealing with their problems is to ignore it, keeping it covered all the way in back of their thoughts, covering them with daydreams and imagining it to solve itself.
They’re conservative people, trying to keep everything the way it is or was to be at peace with themselves. 9’s get tired of things quickly because of their free spirit, which can cause some problems in relationships if the other is more grounded. Yet, they tend to hold on to things that were, when clearly everything’s changing around them. When it comes to other people’s problems, 9’s try their hardest to fix it, repressing their feelings causes problems for them in which either they do not get their say in an argument or people get the wrong idea of them. Because of their state of peace, people can sometimes feel that 9’s don’t care when really they have it in their minds trying to think of the best positive way to come up with a solution, if something needs to be solved. 9’s self-sacrificing and positive view of people can lead them to be taken advantage of or taken for granted. People do not seem to see the great things 9’s can offer to them until they are gone.
- My Own Words -
Given all that and putting it into understanding for me, it makes sense and I do see all those traits in myself. I'm a strong minded person and not so easily influenced. I don't just believe what this book say and believe that's how I am. Because this is how I am, growing up in the projects around negative influence never stopped me from being the better person and I tried to help everyone the best way that I can. I've never thought of joining gangs or harm people in anyway. Had friends that was into all that and still tried helping them, but unfortunately not everyone can be helped and life goes on. Don't get me wrong I'm not always that great, made mistakes and some regrets but the way I see it, if I never made those mistakes I've never became the person that I am. I hated school never wanted to go but I knew I have to get my diploma so I pushed my laziness to the side and finished. Having struggles in high school, I've never thought I would finish college, but I know what needs to be done to have a secure future and took the ride. Now with my BA degree I'm ready to start my life and add my imprint into the world.
