Career Change

So talking to one of my good friends, I decided to steer into a new direction. Its not so much that she talked me into it, because I have a strong mind and I don't just give in so easily, it's just she made some really good points. Advices that I have already known and that made alot of sense. For the longest, I've always was interested in two things as a career, in media arts and a fire fighter. I know both are 2 completely different paths but that's just another side of me, the adventure side. I still love art and think that I might still be doing it but just not as the main career. I like those action, hero type movies and being a fire fighter, you are a hero. There's more other jobs that makes others heroes too, but fire fighters are more of the physical type. Running into a burning building, breaking car doors, fighting fires, help the sick and injured people, because we do get there before the ambulance.

I'm feeling real excited right now, I've just finished registering for the orientation and for the CPAT testing (Candidate Physical Ability Test). I believe I have the build and strength they require already so hopefully I will past the testing. It did cost me $200 to take this test. $25 each for the practice I scheduled 2 practices, and $150 for the final testing. If I past that, then I will go on to the academy where I will be training. I have to also past the academy too, to be an official fire fighter. I've hear people tell me about their experiences and that it is very competitive and many people had failed. That is sad to hear and kind of a let down but hopefully my faith will take me through it all, if not then at least I gained an experience.
